The Baca Grande Water and Sanitation District is excited to announce that we will be hosting a community food drive to support those in need.

This initiative aims to help our neighbors who may be facing food insecurity and create a space for generosity and community care.

How It Works:

Drop-off Location: Donations can be made at the Baca Grande Water and Sanitation

District office, located at 57 Baca Grant Way S, Crestone, CO 81131.

Drop-off Hours: Starting Monday 11/10/2025, donations can be dropped off Monday -Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (closed for lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM).

Weekly Distribution: Each week, donations will be delivered to the local food bank, ensuring that the items are available to those who need them most.

Take What You Need, Give What You Can: We understand that the need for food can be great, and we encourage community members to feel free to take what they need from the donation box. At the same time, if you have extra food items you can spare, please consider donating what you don’t need.

This is a true community effort where everyone can contribute in their own way.

Accepted Donations:

• Non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, rice, beans, etc.)
• Unopened boxes or bags of dry goods
• Baking and cooking staples (flour, sugar, honey, cooking oils, spices, etc.)
• Baby food or formula
• Hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, feminine products, etc.)

Your donations will make a tangible difference in the lives of those in our community who may be going through a tough time.

We invite all community members to participate, whether by donating or by taking what they need. Together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
