NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to § 32-1-1001(2)(a), C.R.S., the Board of Directors for the Baca Grande Water and Sanitation District (the “District”) will consider the increase of fees, rates, tolls, penalties or charges for water service at a public meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 9:00 A.M., in person at the Baca Grande Office, 57 Baca Grant Way South, Crestone, Colorado, and via zoom at:

Any interested member of the public is welcome to attend the public meeting.

 

The proposed rate increase under consideration is limited to the adoption and implementation of the District's Drought Procedures. Specifically, the proposal includes a 50% increase in the rates for all water usage tiers above the base rate if the District declares Drought Level 3 – Extreme Drought in accordance with the District's Drought Procedures.
